My exposure to art started when I was young and traveled with my father. Together we visited every state in the United States except Alaska. Along the way I was able to see so many different kinds of art. I remember trips to the Natural Museum of History and Art and many other museums across the country. One of my favorite memories was in Las Vegas at Caesars Palace, where the moving statues in the Forum Shops left a big impression on me. I have always loved statues and sculptures because of the way they capture presence and emotion in such a lasting way.

When it comes to making art, I like creating miniatures. Even though they may feel a little craft-like, they are not meant to be used but to be looked at and appreciated, so I see them as art. I also enjoy painting, even though I do not think I am especially good at it yet. I do not have a preferred style at this point, but that is part of why I am excited to be here—to learn more about different styles and deepen my understanding.
