People use art to make sense of life, to tell stories, or to let out emotions they can’t explain. So if a definition leaves out the messy, emotional, and sometimes hard-to-pin-down parts of art, it’s missing the point. My definition comes from a personal, subjective place, because art hits everyone differently—what moves one person might not do anything for someone else, and that’s exactly what makes it so powerful.
