 Art work 1 : 2d : Weehawken Sequence, John Marin, 1916

The artist uses mainly cool colors, and sticks to this pallet throughout the painting. Texture is created throughout the landscape with brushstrokes. Shapes are used to block out the sky. Overall very minimalist when it comes to brush strokes. I feel a chill run through me when i look at this painting - conveys a cold winter day.
