I disagree with the idea that art is defined as a conscious expression. This word in the Webster definition had me contemplating about AI and the role of artistic expression and consciousness in general. Is art generated by machines a conscious act or is the perception of art by the one experiencing it the conscious aspect? There is also a quality of art that is intuitive and subjective in that can anything, no matter how mundane, be considered art by mere existence or is art something we can separate from everything else in our world?
