I tend to look at art from two perspectives, one is as the previous description explained an expression of past experiences, emotions, culture and a unique way of portraying it. from different perspective art could be not bound by those concepts, it can be unintentional, random, created even not by humans but by nature, art could be something that we observed and it can only be art to us, others might not understand it, they can perceive it differently. so I would say art can be created from within and its the viewer that puts meaning to certain objects, concepts, performances etc. (even if the viewer is the artist itself)
