I love art, mostly viewing. I'm lucky to be from NY and now live in L.A., so I have had, an do have unlimited access to a ton of museums and enjoy all of the draw/paintings and sculpture.

I did take a few art classes at our local j.c., drawing and oil painting which were fun - I dont think of myself as much of an artist - perhaps because  I never chose it and dedicated the time and energy to it.

I am in awe of artists though, maybe I’ll choose it one of these days.

Thank you for sharing that—I really relate to your appreciation for art as a viewer. There’s something so powerful about being in the presence of great work, especially when you’ve had the chance to experience it in cities like New York and L.A., where there’s such a wide range of styles and voices.

I also admire your honesty about not considering yourself an artist—yet still finding joy and meaning in those community college classes. Sometimes we underestimate how much “doing” art, even casually, can deepen our connection to it. I think it’s beautiful that you’re open to choosing it one day. Art will always be there waiting if and when you do.

And honestly, being in awe of artists is a kind of artistry in itself—being able to recognize and feel moved by what others create is part of what gives art its meaning.
