I agree with the definition of art. Art is the voice of our soul and our imagination; it allows us to express our feelings through art without words.
Hi Maria,
I really connected with your description of art as the “voice of our soul.” I feel the same way—art helps express the parts of ourselves that we sometimes struggle to put into words. It’s amazing how a single image, song, or movement can reflect our deepest emotions or stories. I also appreciated your emphasis on imagination and feeling. Like you, I believe art is just as much about connection and inner truth as it is about technique. Thank you for sharing your perspective—it added a beautiful layer to how I’m thinking about art in this course.
Best,

Hi Maria,
Thank you for your post. I agree with both you and David.
Like any form of communication, art can express our thoughts and feelings. However it is less restrictive and more diverse in the way those feelings are expressed compared to the strict syntax of language and rigid logic.
As humans we resonate with the deeper meanings expressed through all mediums of art. We reflect our different experiences through compounded generations of art and cultures are formed. Art is not something without value, it carries the wisdom and knowledge of past generations.
