I mostly agree with the definition of art from the course. To me, art is not just about technique or style, it is about the need we all have to create and share pieces of ourselves. My definition lines up with the course because I also see art as tied to culture, expression, emotion, and beauty. What stands out to me is the way art helps us connect, whether that is through showing what we see in the world or what we imagine in our minds.
I think what might be missing in the course definition is the personal side of art, the way it feels for both the artist and the viewer. Sometimes the impact of a simple sketch or song can be as strong as a grand painting or sculpture, and that power comes from emotion and connection, not just form or history.
My definition comes more from a subjective perspective, since I focus on feelings and meaning rather than only the physical details. I think both views matter, but the heart of art is the human urge to create and connect.
