I partly agree with the previous definition of “art,” but I don’t think it fully captures the depth of what art can mean. Many definitions tend to focus on art as a product something visual, musical, or literary that is meant to be appreciated. While that is true, it leaves out the emotional, cultural, and even therapeutic purposes of art. For example, art is not only about what is created but also about the process of creating and the impact it has on both the artist and the audience.
What seems to be missing is the idea that art is deeply tied to human experience. Art can challenge social norms, preserve history, express personal identity, or even exist without an audience at all. To me, art is less about a strict definition and more about intention, interpretation, and meaning.
My own definition of art comes from a subjective perspective because it is influenced by my personal experiences and what I value in creative expression. However, I also recognize that there are objective aspects such as technical skill, style, and historical context that help classify and analyze art across cultures.
