Building quality into software products

Other quality issues

That concludes this review of McCall's quality factors. The eleven factors included here are typical of those considered by most authors. Some authors include their individual preferences in their texts. For example, Ghezzi et al. include factors like robustness, reparability, evolvability, productivity, and visibility. The draft document for the new ISO - 9000: 2015 is process-oriented, listing general quality principles, such as customer focus, process approach, and evidence-based decision-making for a Quality Management System. Unfortunately, there is no international or industry set of properly defined software quality factors to help overcome this situation.
